Summer Rain

Your love is like summer rain
And it touches my heart so gently
Calming and soothing like a balm
Easing the daily hitches in life
It comes without invitation
When I least expect it
Creeping in like a dream,
Bringing such joy to my life.

It is raining again in torrents;
It is flooding all around;
Let me just savor this moment,
Get drenched in its magic
Soaking my body and soul
And foster and nurture it
Like I would, a newborn baby.

Yesterday, Today!

Yesterday you looked into my eyes
And said, “You are special”
I thought about it and told,
“I don’t think, I am special
But I want to be special for you”
You insisted, “You are special”

Today, I decided
To be special for you
But do I have anything to offer
Except a heart full of love
A friendship to last a lifetime
And a promise to be there
As long as you let me be!

The Real Image

A very old poem of mine... Searched it out from a really musty place in memories! This poem was written 14 years back based on a conversation with a dear friend, Leena! Thanks for being my friend!


I knew not that image of yours
Nor ever can see that face,
Which your mirror prefers to reflect,
Which does not resemble you
Nor know your pains nor longings
Which never shows you as "you"!

If you want to see the real you
Open your eyes and look into mine!
There, you see a face with all its passion
Which cries out at the slightest heed!
There you see an unmasked face
Reflecting all its aches, agonies,
Joys, trials and tribulations
Hiding behind that sunshine smile!
You will see the teardrops,
Your pillow absorbs and night blots!
You will see the beauty of a tearful face,
Which is striving to keep that smile

But my advice to you goes....
Remove your beautiful mask
And show the world, your real grace
Which no one can steal away from you!!!

Seasons

Yet another season moving by
Bringing in a new flavor
Winter giving way slowly, for summer
With summer sun blazing...

Remembering the times shared with you
The ups and downs!
Always having someone to run to...
Looking forward for your slow smile...

Times change and thoughts bring
Sadness into your mind.
Calming down your aching heart
Facing the change all alone...

Wishing for your happiness
No matter where you are
Wish someone cares for you
As much as I do

Hope the memories are not hurting you
The way it does for me
Hope the days are flying fast
Unlike mine....

Living a life without you
Still keeping faith in my love
Thinking of those frozen moments
Asking my heart, not to cry....

Sometimes...

Sometimes you can’t control the pain
It hurts so much that you don’t care anymore
Going on living seems like a favor to the world
You wish you can curl up go unfeeling
The tears that fall have no meaning
The heart that is breaking is beyond knowing
You wish you can fly to another land
Where pain and tears can’t touch you anymore
