Yesterday, Today!

Yesterday you looked into my eyes
And said, “You are special”
I thought about it and told,
“I don’t think, I am special
But I want to be special for you”
You insisted, “You are special”

Today, I decided
To be special for you
But do I have anything to offer
Except a heart full of love
A friendship to last a lifetime
And a promise to be there
As long as you let me be!
